About me

A portrait of you.

I’m Lizzie,

A ux designer who turns ambiguous, complex problems into experiences that move the needle for both users and the business.

Currently designing @ Nordstrom, leading design for our point of sale (POS+) loyalty experiences and previously worked on internal buying tools across the Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack store network.

I care deeply about the intersection of research, systems thinking, and measurable outcomes. My work tends to live in high-complexity spaces — internal tools used by thousands of associates, transactional flows where every second matters, and loyalty systems that directly impact revenue. I believe the best design decisions are made when you deeply understand the user's context, the business constraints, and the data all at once.

Before Nordstrom I worked at PitchBook Data, Boeing, and T-Mobile, designing across fintech, aerospace, and telecom. That range taught me how to move quickly in new domains, ask the right questions early, and build stakeholder trust across functions.

When I'm not designing I'm reading romantasy, cooking (with something from my garden), traveling, or on a dance floor somewhere.

  • Clarity before solutions

I spend more time defining the right problem than jumping to answers. Ambiguity is an invitation to do better research, not a reason to move slower.

  • Research + Data

Qualitative insight tells you the why; quantitative data tells you the scale. I use both and trust neither in isolation.

  • Systems thinking

Good design decisions account for what happens upstream and downstream. I design for the edge cases as much as the happy path.

  • Iteration with intent

I'm not precious about first versions, but I do think every iteration should be driven by something learned, not just something changed.
